new EP coming out

Combat Jazz has recorded a new EP titled Awfully Showers.  It'll be coming out this fall.  It was recorded at Captain's Cove in Manhattan by Todd Perlmutter, who also plays drums.  Other players are Iakov Kreminskiy on guitar, Casey Howard on alto sax, John "JT" Turner on trumpet, Darren Lipper on bass and John McQueeney on tenor sax.

It's been a while

Combat Jazz played at Shrine in Harlem last night...what a fun venue!   A lot of folks got to see us for the first time and I think we made some new fans.   We definitely want to play at Shrine again soon!

Combat Jazz returns to Red Lantern on Myrtle Ave. for the first gig of Spring.  Come down for a fun night of funky rocking jazz.

Combat Jazz will be playing at Red Lantern in Fort Greene on the last day of month in both January and February 2015.

Red Lantern is a great neighborhood joint, with a mellow vibe and a great bartender.  I think it is a terrific place to catch Combat Jazz play.  No Cover!

Tonight, Combat Jazz is playing at Red Lantern Bike Shop (Bike Store by day/Bar, coffeehouse at night.)  It's a great scene...please come down if you're around.  There is a certain lowkey late 80's vibe to the place.  No cover!

Combat Jazz is getting ready for the return engagement at Red Lantern at 345 Myrtle Ave. in Fort Greene (between Carlton and Adelphi) on Saturday Night, 11/15.   We hit the stage promptly at 9PM and we'll be playing until 11PM.  Last time we played Red Lantern, folks were shaking in the aisles and on the street!  Come check it out.
