Tonight, Combat Jazz is playing at Red Lantern Bike Shop (Bike Store by day/Bar, coffeehouse at night.)  It's a great scene...please come down if you're around.  There is a certain lowkey late 80's vibe to the place.  No cover!

Combat Jazz is getting ready for the return engagement at Red Lantern at 345 Myrtle Ave. in Fort Greene (between Carlton and Adelphi) on Saturday Night, 11/15.   We hit the stage promptly at 9PM and we'll be playing until 11PM.  Last time we played Red Lantern, folks were shaking in the aisles and on the street!  Come check it out.

Jorge Manahan will be playing with us on guitar at are next Red Lantern gig, Nov. 15th.   John Turner will be back on trumpet.

Last time we played at Red Lantern, John Turner (JT) couldn't make it, and Kurt Hoffman (pictured below) and Casey Howard jumped in for a triple tenor sax threat.

Kurt's wild and wooly bass clarinet playing can be heard on the Zebra EP by Combat Jazz.

Combat Jazz just played our first professional engagement...Grace's 60th birthday party at the great Fort Greene restaurant, Lola BKLN (formerly Chez Lola.)  Here's Jorge Manahan on guitar conferring with Fumio Tashiro on bass.
